Bangkok

In our last update we asked you to pray with us for:
–> A visa
–> A place to live
–> A ministry to join

I admit that even as I write this I am realizing just how much God is answering our prayers and leading us gracefully through this transition. Our goal in ministry has been to 1. Form a team 2. Discover a platform that allows us to be in the most contact with buddhist Thais, so that we can see them come to know Christ. We are on our way there!
WE HAVE FORMED A TEAM with our good friend Derek Porter. Derek has grown up in Thailand and been in Bangkok the last 4 yrs. In the 2 years we’ve been friends we have often dreamed of doing ministry together and we’re excited that God is launching us into something new and that we get to do it together! The 3 of us have begun exploring different areas of Bangkok that don’t have any churches and praying about where to plant ourselves.
As we explore, dream and pray our team has come under the leadership of a YWAM ministry called RAK TEH (meaning “authentic love.”) Rak teh reaches out to the community they live in, which has a high population of homeless and prostitutes. The church they have planted there is beautiful and raw. We’re incredibly grateful for their mentorship, wisdom, and willingness to walk with us through this season of transition to ministry in Bangkok.

Read more about RAK TEH ministry here http://www.ywamthai.org/rakteh

WE HAVE FOUND AN APARTMENT to stay in until the New Year, praise God! It’s near the Rak Teh ministry and gives us more time to pray and explore what area of Bangkok we will move to permanently.

How can you pray?

  • We still don’t have a new visa lined up for October, but we are exploring several opportunities.
  • Pray that God gives us VISION as we explore different areas of Bangkok.

THANK YOU for your love, support, prayers and investment in our lives and in Thailand. In this season of transition we are honored and humbled by the encouragement we have received from all of you.
