The faith journey of this last year

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

This last year of our lives has taken faith. Last year in May when we packed up our house in Chiang Rai the list of things we didn’t know was long. Where we would live, what our ministry would be, who our team would be, the next step after completing language study. Sitting here today, we don’t necessarily have more answers than what we had a year ago, but what we do have is faithWe have faith that God speaks, that he has a plan for us, that he always takes care of us and that we can trust him completely.

To recap the last year; from August-December 2016 we went to Bangkok to finish our language study. We then traveled across Thailand visiting different church planting teams until April. Our time serving these churches was so life giving. It gave us new insights into Thai culture, stretched our language abilities, encouraged us in what God is doing across different provinces and left us inspired at the faith people exercise to see Thais come to know the Lord.

B A N G K O K is what we heard God speak to us as we prayed about where we should settle. So here we are. We have just returned from a summer in North America visiting friends and family and are starting the process of moving our lives to Bangkok.

Please pray and have faith with us for these things:

  • We need a new visa starting in October
  • A place to live
  • Deciding what full time ministry to be part of

We will continue to update you in the coming months as all of these things come together! Thank you so much for your love, support, encouragement and friendship.

Much love,

The Hazeltines
